The Bhutan Hardware Association (BHA) recently convened its Executive Members’ Meeting to discuss the Association’s financial sustainability, institutional strengthening and future direction.
The meeting approved the establishment of an Endowment Fund to support BHA’s registration under the Civil Society Organizations Authority (CSOA), marking an important step towards strengthening the Association’s legal standing and institutional capacity.
The Executive Committee also agreed in principle to organize the Bhutan Hardware & Infrastructure Conference 2026, The conference will bring together hardware businesses, manufacturers, principal companies, Government agencies and other stakeholders to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, quality, innovation and business opportunities.
The meeting further approved the appointment of Mr. Karma Tenzin, Proprietor of Lilly Traders, as a new Executive Committee Member, further strengthening the representation and participation of BHA members in the Association’s leadership.
BHA expresses its sincere appreciation to the Executive Committee Members, particularly Mr. Dorji Namgay, CEO of BBSs, for his valuable initiative and contribution to the discussions on institutional strengthening, and to all members for their continued support and cooperation.
The Association remains committed to building a strong, united and representative hardware sector and working collectively for the interests and development of its members.
