Notification for members of Association
Implementation of New Recruitment Protocol for Members of Bhutan Hardware Association
Following the recent general member meeting held on 30th April 2024 at Taraphendeling Hotel, Thimphu, we are pleased and notify our members of Association about the decisions made regarding the frequent movement of staff within the hardware sector (Staffs of Hardware Sectors moving from one hardware to another)
It was unanimously agreed upon by the Executive Members and Members of the Association during the meeting to implement the following procedures before recruiting individuals in the job:
- Requirement of “No Objection Certificate” (NOC): Individuals seeking employment in hardware stores are now required to provide a “no objection certificate” from their previous employer. This certificate serves as confirmation that the candidate left their previous position under acceptable terms and with the approval of their former employer.
- Uniform Enforcement: The consensus among members is to enforce this requirement uniformly across all hardware stores. This ensures fairness and consistency in the recruitment process.
- Provision of PF and Other Allowances: It is emphasized the importance of providing the Provident Fund (PF) and other allowances along with the contract between the Employee and employer. This ensures transparency and adherence to labor regulations.
These notifications are issued to ensure that all members are well-informed and compliant with the new protocol when considering new hires. This proactive measure aims to address the concerns surrounding staff turnover and safeguard the interests of both employers and employees within the hardware sector.
We kindly request all members to adhere to these guidelines and extend their cooperation in implementing these measures effectively.
Should you have any queries or require further clarification, please feel free to contact the association office.
